Meeting Structure
Every Speech Hero meeting is a journey through the world of public speaking, structured to maximize learning, engagement, and enjoyment within a two-hour session.
Here’s what to expect:
- Introduction by the Meeting Host: The journey begins with a warm welcome and an overview of the evening’s agenda, setting the stage for a night of growth and camaraderie.
- Introduction of the Functionaries and Their Roles: Meet the functionaries, the unsung heroes who guide each meeting’s flow and ensure everything runs smoothly. Their roles are pivotal in providing a supportive environment for speakers and evaluators alike.
- Prepared Speeches (5-7 min each): Members deliver speeches they’ve prepared in advance, showcasing their skills and the progress they’ve made on their public speaking journey. These speeches cover a wide range of topics, reflecting the diverse interests of our community.
- Improvisation Speeches (1-2 min each) This segment challenges members to think on their feet. Hosted by the conversation starter, participants are given a topic on the spot and deliver a short, impromptu speech, honing their quick thinking and spontaneity.
- BREAK: A brief intermission to stretch, refresh, and mingle with fellow members, reinforcing the bonds of our community.
- Speech Evaluations: Constructive feedback is the cornerstone of growth. This segment allows speakers to gain valuable insights into their strengths and areas for improvement from their peers.
- Functionaries Report: Our functionaries share observations on the meeting’s proceedings, highlighting achievements and offering suggestions for enhancing our collective experience.
- Summary and Closing Words by the Host: The meeting concludes with a recap of the evening’s highlights and a motivational send-off from the host, leaving everyone inspired and looking forward to our next gathering.
